32 years to Ponder On

I had the honor to sit at a table a few nights ago, decorated with the beautiful faces I have come to love and treasure after almost five years of living in Barcelona and with every year that goes by, I consider myself lucky to have all these people form part of my atmosphere. I loved how, with all the madness of Christmas and the dinners it entails, children with fevers at home and to do lists to accomplish they managed to escape and be part of a dinner that celebrated time, time gone and time to come.

We had Indonesian as our meal, a dark chocolate white chocolate covered cupcake treat from me and laughter. The cupcakes were my first try at making them and let's just say I'll stick to cooking and not baking...

I was splurged with lotions (oh how have they gotten to know me), Bubbles for the bath,a book about unordinary princesses, a session of Breema, a very unique handmade ceramic necklace and these lovely blocks of wood by an artist from Argentina (the astronaut is my absolute favorite). All these little jewels defined what they saw and what I feel, luxury!

I also felt that wonderfully sorrow sensation of missing home or those that make up my home on the West Continent, but I had absolutely all of you sitting at that table, whether it was metaphorically speaking or in flesh and bone.

And to close up, I wish you all the Happiest Holidays possible. In hopes that we all end the year with food on our tables that warms our insides, wine to make our blood run a little faster and friends and family to remind us of how absolutely lucky we are. Below, my little itsy bitsy Christmas tree that I bought last year and is still growing!!

My New Year's Resolution? To make more time to ponder and get back in touch with this blogging thing I call heart...
